Founder & Principal Designer
Joelle Maslaton Oster founded Studio Joelle on a simple conviction: great design begins long before construction. Milan-trained at Instituto Marangoni, she has spent 25 years designing across New York, Europe, and beyond — residences, hotels, restaurants, and commercial spaces that carry a point of view.
Today the studio leads private strategy sessions that use AI-assisted visualization to shape spaces before a single wall moves. Clients arrive with a vision. They leave with a future they can see.
Our Philosophy
Design isn’t decoration. It’s a decision about how a space will feel, function, and be remembered. We start with strategy — understanding not just what a client wants, but what their space needs to say. Then we build the concept. Then we execute it.
We were among the first in interior design to use AI visualization as a strategic tool — so clients can inhabit an idea before committing to it. The future of a space should be visible before construction begins.
Strategy
Every project begins with a private session — a deep conversation about vision, identity, and the story a space needs to tell. We don’t propose a direction until we understand what we’re designing toward.
Concept
We develop spatial narratives using both traditional design thinking and AI-assisted visualization. You see your space before it exists. That clarity changes everything.

From design development through final installation, we oversee every detail. The concept we build together is the space you move into.
